Irving Stone (1903-1989) was an American author best known for his biographical novels of noted artists, politicians and intellectuals. Lona Mosk (1905-1965) was Stone's first wife from around 1922 to 1933. After his divorce from Lona, Irving Stone married Jean Factor, who had been his secretary, in 1934 and they were together until his death in 1989. Jean Stone died in 2004, at the age of 93.
